Let Those Rivers Flow

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.—John 7:37-39

When Jesus lifted His voice in the temple on the feast of Tabernacles we should pay close attention. He was making an announcement of a new thing God was about to do. For all who would believe on The Lord Jesus and His work at the cross, rivers of living water would be available to them. God is no respecter of persons, whoever believes can drink from these rivers Jesus spoke of.

Just exactly what was Jesus referring to? The baptism of the Holy Spirit that was given on the day of Pentecost. Acts 2:4 Says, “they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” When the river began to flow salvations, healing, and miracles were the result. The book of Acts is a witness to that and is a pattern to what God wants to do in your life.

Our Lord said rivers shall flow! When did they flow in the disciples life? When they began speaking in other tongues. How do you get the rivers flowing in your life? Well, just follow the pattern in the book of Acts. They spoke, they were filled, the rivers flowed and they saw the goodness of God unfold before their eyes! You can too just by cooperating with Him and speaking in the supernatural gift God gave you when you were baptized in the Holy Spirit. It is God’s gift to you! Don’t neglect it but use it everyday until you see the rivers flow! If you have not been baptized in the Holy Spirit then listen to the free audio download on my blog THE SPIRIT BAPTISM and ask The Lord to baptize you and He will!
