New Testament Confessions

Confessing God’s Word over yourself will bring a revelation of your spiritual identity and purpose. We have been given exceeding great and precious promises whereby we become partakers of God’s divine nature! The prayer of Our Lord Jesus for our life on earth reveals that our life purpose and identity is wrapped up in Him. My prayer is that as you meditate on these “IN CHRIST” realities that your life purpose and identity will come alive to you! Jesus prayed…

I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word, that they may all be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You. May they also be one in Us, that the world may believe that You have sent Me. I have given them the glory which You gave Me, that they may be one even as We are one: I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfect in unity, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.—John 17:20-23 MEV

IN CHRIST I AM WHO GOD SAYS I AM!

CONFESS: In Christ I am a new person with a new beginning…

Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things have passed away. Look, all things have become new.–2 Corinthians 5:17 MEV

CONFESS: In Christ I am dead to sin’s power and alive to God’s Spirit…

Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.–Romans 6:12-14 NLT

CONFESS: In Christ I am crucified to the ways of this world…

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.–Galatians 2:20 MEV

CONFESS: In Christ I am free from guilt and condemnation…

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.–Romans 8:1-2 NLT

CONFESS: In Christ I am made righteous…

God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.–2 Corinthians 5:21 MEV

CONFESS: In Christ I am in right standing with God…

For if because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace unmerited favor and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ the Messiah, the Anointed One).—Romans 5:17AMP

CONFESS: In Christ I am justified by the shed blood of Jesus…

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.–Romans 3:23-24 MEV

CONFESS: In Christ I am called and set apart by His Spirit…

To those sanctified (set apart, made holy) in Christ Jesus, who are selected and called as saints (God’s people), together with all those who in every place call on and honor the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours.–1 Corinthians 1:2 AMP

CONFESS: In Christ I am blessed and empowered to prosper…

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.–Ephesians 1:3 MEV

CONFESS: In Christ I am chosen by my Father…

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.–Ephesians 1:4 NLT

CONFESS: In Christ I am highly favored by my Father…

So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.–Ephesians 1:6 NLT

CONFESS: In Christ I am redeemed from the curse and blessed with the Spirit…

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by being made a curse for us-as it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”- [14] so that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.–Galatians 3:13-14 MEV

CONFESS: In Christ I am a child of God and a heir of God…

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirits that we are the children of God, and if children, then heirs: heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified with Him.–Romans 8:16-17 MEV

CONFESS: In Christ I am rooted and established in my faith…

Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in [union with] Him [reflecting His character in the things you do and say-living lives that lead others away from sin], [7] having been deeply rooted [in Him] and now being continually built up in Him and [becoming increasingly more] established in your faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing in it with gratitude.–Colossians 2:6-7 AMP

CONFESS: In Christ I am God’s masterpiece…

For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above-spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].–Ephesians 2:10 AMP

CONFESS: In Christ I am complete and lacking nothing…

For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.—Colossians 2:9-10

In Christ I am sealed and anointed by the Holy Spirit…

Now it is God who establishes and confirms us [in joint fellowship] with you in Christ, and who has anointed us [empowering us with the gifts of the Spirit]; it is He who has also put His seal on us [that is, He has appropriated us and certified us as His] and has given us the [Holy] Spirit in our hearts as a pledge [like a security deposit to guarantee the fulfillment of His promise of eternal life].–2 Corinthians 1:21-22 AMP

CONFESS: In Christ I am the seed of Abraham and heir to God’s promises…

For you [who are born-again have been reborn from above-spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified and] are all children of God [set apart for His purpose with full rights and privileges] through faith in Christ Jesus… And if you belong to Christ [if you are in Him], then you are Abraham’s descendants, and [spiritual] heirs according to [God’s] promise.–Galatians 3:26,29 AMP

IN CHRIST I HAVE WHAT GOD SAYS I HAVE!

CONFESS: In Christ I have the life of God in me…

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit that lives in you.—Romans 8:11 MEV

CONFESS: In Christ I have a guarantee of God’s promises…

For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.—2 Corinthians 1:20 NLT

CONFESS: In Christ I have eyes to see and ears to hear…

As it is written, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us by His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.—1 Corinthians 2:9-10 MEV

CONFESS: In Christ I have access to the throne of grace…

Since then we have a great High Priest who has passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who was in every sense tempted like we are, yet without sin. Let us then come with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.—Hebrews 4:14-16 MEV

CONFESS: In Christ I have authority in prayer…

He raised us up together with Him [when we believed], and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, [because we are] in Christ Jesus.—Ephesians 2:6 AMP

In whom [Christ] we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him [that is, our faith gives us sufficient courage to freely and openly approach God through Christ].—Ephesians 3:12 AMP

CONFESS: In Christ I have a treasury of wisdom and knowledge from the Spirit of God…

In whom [Christ] are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge [regarding the word and purposes of God].—Colossians 2:3 AMP

CONFESS: In Christ I have a spiritual family to run to where God dwells…

So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family.—Ephesians 2:19 NLT

CONFESS: In Christ I have a message of reconciliation to my world…

For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.—2 Corinthians 5:19 NLT

CONFESS: In Christ I have deliverance from the wrath to come…

Therefore, since we are now justified, acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God by Christ’s blood, how much more [certain is it that] we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God.—Romans 5:9AMP

CONFESS: In Christ I have a future resurrection…

In Him you also, after hearing the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and after believing in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession [physical resurrection], to the praise of His glory.—Ephesians 1:13-14 MEV

IN CHRIST I CAN DO WHAT GOD SAYS I CAN DO!

CONFESS: In Christ I ready for anything and equal to anything…

I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency]. —Philippians 4:13 AMP

CONFESS: In Christ I can overcome every obstacle…

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities nor powers, neither things present nor things to come, neither height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.–Romans 8:37-39 MEV

CONFESS: In Christ I reign as a king in this life…

For if because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace unmerited favor and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ the Messiah, the Anointed One).—Romans 5:17AMP

CONFESS: In Christ I have victory in every situation and circumstance…

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us spreads and makes evident everywhere the sweet fragrance of the knowledge of Him.—2 Corinthians 2:14 AMP
