Never Thirst Again

Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. The hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.—John 4:14,23

Our Lord Jesus is the Father’s gift to us. Through Him we have access to the Spirit of God who will satisfy our deepest need! We were created in His image to be in intimate contact with Him. Unfortunately in our culture there are too many cheap substitutes for the Spirit of God. In the case of the Samaritan woman she had a religious mindset that did not bring her freedom. She went from one husband to another and was never satisfied. No man could meet her deepest need for love and acceptance.

That does not have to be so! Because of Jesus we have the new birth which means we never have to thirst again. A well of water, a fountain or a spring of water originating deep in the earth is a beautiful picture of our born again spirit-man. Our spirit man is in contact with God and we have the ability to drink up the Spirit of God and be full of supernatural love, peace and joy!

We are living in the time Jesus prophesied where believers could enter the Father’s presence just like Jesus did. To worship the Father in Spirit and Truth means that your life is found in Christ because He is truth. When your alive in Christ then the Spirit of God and the Word of God is alive in you becoming the very foundation of a prayer life that touches the Father’s heart. God blesses His kids with a supernatural gift called praying in tongues and promises that reveal His will and intent for us. Pray in the spirit and draw from the well. We have His Word and His Spirit in us to draw close to the Father and be completely and thoroughly satisfied! We never have to thirst again!
