Green Pastures

I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.—John 10:9-10

People everywhere are looking for greener pastures in their life. Many are looking in the wrong places and coming up short! Everything we need is wrapped up in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He is the door! A door speaks of an entry point or a point of access. I am so glad I opened the door of my heart and made him Lord of my life. By doing so He has given me access to green pastures.

We can feed upon His goodness every time we read the scriptures and draw close to Him in prayer. His presence nurtures and comforts us through all the challenges of life. You’ll never see skinny sheep in green pastures! We should be fat with His supernatural peace and joy! We should be completely content because of what’s happening on the inside of us. When we feed on His goodness we become secure and confident about our future.

If you find yourself lean spiritually—lacking peace, joy and the boldness that comes from knowing He made you righteous then it’s time for you to go into your green pasture and feed upon His goodness and faithfulness to you. The abundant life is yours! Life as God Himself has it is available to you. He has more than you will ever need! Draw close to Him and received His abundance for your lack.
