My Purpose Statement

MY MISSION

To know Him and declare His goodness

“That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings” (Phil 3:10)

“That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us.” (1 John 1:3a)

MY VISION

That Christ would be magnified in me—both in character and in power

20 according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. 21 For to me, to live isChrist, and to die is gain. (Phil 1:20,21NKJV)

MY CORE VALUES

#1 Intimacy with God…

I daily meditate and confess the Word for strong faith.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper—Psalm 1:1-3

I daily praise, worship, and pray for a spirit filled lifestyle.

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord—Ephesians 5:19

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord—Colossians 3:16

#2 Honor, Faithfulness & Loyalty to others…

I am a loving husband to my wife.

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.  So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.  For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church—Ephesians 5:25-29

I am a nurturing father to my children.

And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up—Deuteronomy 6:6,7

I am a supportive son to my parents.

Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth—Ephesians 6:2,3

I am a servant to my Pastor.

For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.  For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.  But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel—Philippians 2:20-22

I am a faithful friend to other men.

Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend—Proverbs 27:17

#3 Wise stewardship of His ministry because I am…

I am entrusted with the Gospel mysteries.

For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.  And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you—1 Corinthians 9:19,23

…made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.  And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ—Ephesians 3:7,9

I am anointed to minister to broken lives.

…He found the place where it was written (of Him), The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord—Luke 4:17-19

The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:) That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him—Acts 10:36-38

I am gifted to build up the church.

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teaches, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that showeth mercy, with cheerfulness.—Romans 12:6-8

I am empowered to preach to the lost.

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God—1 Corinthians 2:4,5

Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.  For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.  But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort—1 Cor. 14:1-3

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal… …dividing to every man severally as he will—1 Cor. 12:7,11

I am skilled in the word of righteousness.

But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil—Hebrews 5:14

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works—2 Timothy 3:17

Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth—2 Timothy 2:15

#4 Personal excellence & integrity…

I am single in purpose and diligent in work.

No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.  And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.—2 Timothy 2:4-6

And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.—1 Corinthians 9:25-27

I am sexually pure and true to myself.

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: {4} That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour—1 Thessalonians 4:3-4

…Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body—1 Corinthians 6:13

Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s—1 Corinthians 6:18-20

Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. {3} Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. {4} The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife—1 Corinthians 7:2-4
