God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds.—Hebrews 1:1-2
God has published the record of his Son through the Gospels. God has spoken to the world. It’s on record. Who will believe the report of The Lord? God the Father’s heart and intention for us can be clearly seen through the life of his Son Jesus. There is no mystery to it, it is very clear. God is filled with compassion toward the human race and has provided a solution for mankind—JESUS!
The book of Hebrews magnifies who Jesus is and explains the types and shadows of the Law in the Old Testament. It all points to Jesus life and ministry. Jesus is a fulfillment of all the prophets declared. Jesus came to fulfill the prophecies in the last days. The last days cover the period we call the church age or the age of grace where the Gospel of salvation is preached to the nations. The last days cover about two thousand years. That places us at the tail end of the last days where Jesus will come a second time to fulfill the remaining prophecies of the Old Testament.
The scripture says, that God has appointed Jesus to be heir of all things. Jesus is returning to the earth to claim His inheritance! That inheritance is the Kingdom of God upon the earth. When He returns He will come with the Church, that is you and I, and will restore the nation of Israel as a priestly nation to the Gentiles. The prophecies are very clear that Israel will be the head of all nations and all the Gentiles will come to Jerusalem, Israel to worship the King of kings and The Lord of lords. We are living in the last of the last days! Jesus is coming to set up the Kingdom. But first Jesus will come for His church just as he promised in John 14:2-3, “I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”
