To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places.—Ephesians 3:8-10
God used the Apostle Paul to communicate the heart of the New Testament which he refers to here as a mystery hid for generations but now revealed. That mystery is simply this—Jesus death, burial, and resurrection has provided for us salvation spirit, soul, and body. The Jewish people were entrusted with the divine revelation of God until Messiah would come to fulfill the law and the prophets. When Jesus did that it opened the door for all Gentiles to come into a covenant relationship with God. That is the church of The Lord Jesus comprised of both Jew and Gentile.
God wants all people’s to discover the mystery that is locked up in the New Testament. He wants us as His children to be living Epistles. Letters written by the Spirit of God that communicates to a lost and dying world that Christ has purchased for them victory over the devil—an adversary to the entire human race. God wants to make you a billboard of His love and freedom to your worlds I that the mystery can be discovered.
When you discover who you are in Christ the reality of the New Testament comes alive in your heart. The Spirit of God begins to establish you in His righteousness, peace and joy that serves as a witness that you have something supernatural that raises the curiosity of those who are searching for God but don’t really know it. Keep feeding on the New Testament so you know your spiritual identity and give the Holy Spirit freedom to move in your life.
