He (Jesus) said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.—2 Corinthians 12:3-4,9
The Apostle Paul discovers God’s abounding grace in the midst of great pressure. He was caught up into Paradise, had an encounter with Jesus, and was given the responsibility to be God’s steward of the New Testament revelation. That revelation which is so precious, many have forfeited their lives that it may be proclaimed.
Satan came after the revelation that was committed to the Apostle Paul. Remember what Jesus taught about the parable of the sower (Mark 4)? Revelation establishes faith, hope, and love in the heart of the believer which makes one an overcomer. If Satan can rob you of revelation then He can rob you of your victory and provision. When pressure comes guard your heart and recognize that you are graced under pressure! God’s power and ability will come to your aid to lift you up so that you come out of every storm with a song in your heart and a spring in your step!
This chapter has been so misunderstood by Christians who have been taught that Paul’s thorn was some sickness God put on him. Absolutely not. The attack on Paul was sent from Hell’s gates not The Lord. The Lord’s response to Paul’s plight was My grace is sufficient! Think of what that means to you. We have the Name of Jesus, the anointing of the Holy Spirit, exceeding great and precious promises, and The Lord Himself at the Father’s right hand praying for us! We can’t lose, we’ve been born again to win, we have grace under pressure!
