Are you a drinker? Yearintheword

For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body-whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free-and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.—1 Corinthians 12:13

Every believer in Jesus has access to the same Spirit. What a wonderful thing the Spirit of God does in the heart of a person when they accept Jesus as their Lord. We call it the new birth. The Apostle Paul refers to it as the “washing of regeneration.” Our spirit is made new and is forever joined with the Spirit of God. Believers have a capacity to drink of the Spirit of God. You can become inebriated with the Spirit of God.

Question, are you drinking from the Spirit of God in your life. If you are then something should manifest—righteousness, joy, and peace. Chapter 12 describes what happens when the Spirit of God moves. There is utterance—that is something spoken by inspiration. There is revelation—something revealed supernaturally to the mind by the Spirit to aid us about the present and future. There is power—God’s divine healing power and miracle working power. If the church in general is drinking from the Spirit of God like they did on the day of Pentecost then we should see more of these things today.

Lets get thirsty for a move of God in our lives! People today don’t need a sermon, a program, an event, they need an experience with the living Christ. The Holy Spirit has come to demonstrate the resurrection of Christ to our generation. He needs our cooperation! What’s the first step? Start drinking through praise and worship, spiritual songs, scripture meditation and confession, and resting in His presence. He wants to use every believer to demonstrate that Jesus is alive! Don’t stop drinking!
