Awaken

And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. (Romans 13:11 NKJV)

It really is time for the church to pray for our nation.  We are instructed to pray for all those in authority over us that we might live a life that is quiet, peaceful, and godly.  It is to our benefit that we pray for nation.  Repentance and faith towards God is the hope of our future as a nation and the church should lead the way by identifying with the sins of the nation and asking God for His mercy to be demonstrated.  The hour is very late and the church must awaken out of its slumber and recognize the time.  Jesus is coming very soon! We must be about the business of prayer.  What a privilege we have in prayer to move the hand of God in human affairs.
