Keep Faith on the Job

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other, so that we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure. (2 Thessalonians 1:3, 4 NKJV)

Our faith is to grow exceedingly and our love is to abound toward others. That is a good testimony. Overcoming faith is based on a revelation of God’s love which we discover when we meditate upon His Word. Faith becomes strong when we act upon it in the face of contradictory circumstances or under any sort of pressure. If you want your faith to grow continually add two things into the mix—love and patience.

The God kind of love should rule in all your relationships. Walking in God’s love keeps you in fellowship with the Father and protects you from your adversary the devil. Likewise, patience should rule in every difficult circumstance you face, it is what keeps your faith connected to God’s promise. God is faithful to perform His Word in your life, just keep your faith on the job. Exercise love and patience every day!
