The Word Works!

For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.—1 Thessalonians 2:13

The Church at Thessalonica received the Gospel as the Word of God and as a result it produced fruit in their lives. I’ve come to a conclusion about the Bible. It truly is an amazing book. A compilation of 66 books penned over 1500 years of time containing a coherent revelation of God’s plan of redemption for the human race. Of course many would dispute that but one needs to be born again and have the author of the book living in one’s heart in order to understand the book.

God’s Word is true for you and your house. You can stake your life on it.  Faith in a promise from God can change your life! God’s promises cover every part of our human existence. They cover our spiritual life, our physical life and our financial and material life as well.

When you become a life long student of the Bible you will continually be amazed by the fresh revelation the Spirit of God gives you that is so relevant to our contemporary living! Faith in the Word works! Receive the Word into your heart and confess it with your mouth and it will come to pass! Remember God’s Word is working mightily in you!
