Armageddon

“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!”—Revelation 16:15-17 NKJV

We see the completion of the bowl judgments in conjunction with the infamous and dreaded battle of Armageddon where the armies of the world gather. These bowl judgments are so dreadful that human life would experience extension except for a divine intervention! The voice, “Behold, I am coming as a thief,” is The Lord Jesus Christ coming to the earth to fight the armies who gather at Armageddon. There will be such a shaking of the heavens and the earth that men’s hearts will seize with fear!

When the seventh angel pours out the 7th bowl judgment it will be complete. Jesus will return and lay claim to his inheritance, that is the nations of the earth. Remember the sign Jesus gave of His second coming in Matthew 24:27-30,

For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

The armies will gather themselves around the nation of Israel in the valley of Megiddo. Amidst the great darkness and destruction it will look like it is over for that tiny nation called Israel (a prince with God). Then suddenly the heavens will roll up like a scroll and the Shekinah glory of The Lord Jesus Christ will light up and encircle the globe. He will descend with his Church and an army of Angels and will destroy those who are destroying the earth, then peace shall be established on earth.
