Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb. Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth-to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people- saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.”—Revelation 14:1,4,6-7,15 NKJV
During the time of tribulation the harvest will be complete. This is one of the highlights of the book of Revelation—HARVEST! The first fruits of the harvest will be the 144,000 men who will be at the forefront of the preaching of the Gospel. We saw the result of their ministry in Revelation 7:9,13-14…
After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?” And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
God will send angels during the closing hour of the tribulation to preach the everlasting Gospel in every nation, all will hear, all will have opportunity to enter into the kingdom of God. God is passionate about the harvest because the harvest is people Jesus died for. God extends His mercy to people in the darkest of times. He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. Never give up on people, it may be in their darkest hour or in the closing moments of their life that they open their hearts to Jesus. He is merciful and long suffering toward sinners. Thank God for His mercy, it triumphs over judgment!
