Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.—1 Corinthians 6:18-20
Sex is God’s idea! He created it with boundaries so it would be a blessing and not a curse. Unfortunately the world does not see the value of boundaries. Boundaries? Yes, sex is reserved for a husband and wife who have committed themselves to a life long relationship. These days people call it old fashion but consider all the ills and problems of our society that can be attributed to our culture run sexually amuck.
We have an opportunity to be a real witness to our generation by reserving our bodies for the Holy Spirit. Our bodies are reserved for the expression of God’s anointing in our lives. Sexual immorality will rob the believer of that precious fresh anointing that can be seen through the righteousness, peace and joy of The Lord. Remember the price Jesus paid for you when you are presented with sexual temptation. When temptation comes knocking at your door look at it as an opportunity to glorify God.
Thank God for the help of the Holy Spirit! He is our comforter and our standby. He will put you over in the midst of every temptation. Yield to Him and pray in the Holy Spirit when the tempter comes your way! Speak to Word, use the Name and God will get the glory in your temptation!
