For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people to whom He said, “This is the rest with which You may cause the weary to rest and this is the refreshing, yet they would not hear.” (Isaiah 28:11,12 NKJV)
God promised a day to come where His people could experience a supernatural refeshing from the Spirit of God. On the day of Pentecost a wind blew in the upper room where the disicples were awaiting the promise that Jesus gave of the coming of the Holy Spirit who would manifest Himself in power. We are still in the season of Pentecost and as believers we have a continual opportunity to be refreshed because of the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
When the Holy Spirit came on Pentecost and filled the believers with power and a strange utterance called tongues of fire! They went from the upper room to the streets of Jerusalem declaring the goodness of God. The apostle Peter took the opportunity to explain what was happening in their day. He spoke of two things—repentance and restoration!
Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began. (Acts 3:19-21 NKJV)
We are living in a season of refreshing where the Spirit if God is in manifestation. Every time you pray you should experience refreshment, renewal, and empowerment! The world around us is in big trouble. Sin and corruption are creating problems to big to solve. But for those who know Christ! For those who have tasted the powers of the world to come! We have answers, direction, peace and joy, and an unending supply of spiritual refreshment when we pray!
When you are baptized in the Spirit and begin to speak in other tongues, you will find, if you press in and pray beyond your understanding you will find a supernatural refreshing!
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. (Romans 8:11 KJV)
Don’t ever stop praying in tongues it is the doorway to the supernatural and to your spiritual refreshing! It will keep your witness for Christ strong and supernatural! He is coming soon to restore all things and when He does may He find you strong in the things of God!
