Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith. (2 Thessalonians 3:1, 2 NKJV)
A good prayer offensive is to pray for all of God’s ministers for boldness to speak the Gospel and to experience God’s protection from the enemy’s plans. Secondly, pray that a Gospel witness would spread quickly through our nation and the world to the highest places of authority.
Our nation is in trouble and our leaders need courage and wisdom to do what is right for the peace, security, and financial stability of our nation. Paul instructed us…
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:1-4 NKJV)
God’s will for our nation is a return to sound moral and biblical principals. We should continue to pray in line with God’s will no matter what we see or hear in the news. Someone needs to take a stand for righteousness—that is the church in prayer! Pray for the Gospel to be glorified, meaning pray that it will be received and acted upon.
