The Local Church

Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing. (1 Thessalonians 5:11 NKJV)

Every believer has a ministry in the local church, the comfort and spiritual edification of one another. There are three key relationships God has blessed you within the Local church. God has for you an anointed Pastor who will feed you, a body of believers of like precious faith who will support you, and the precious Holy Spirit who manifests Himself in the midst of us with impartations of grace. Read the admonition below and see if you can’t see how you are to cooperate with your Pastor, your local church famiky, and the Holy Ghost.

And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love for their works sake. Be at peace among yourselves. Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. (1 Thessalonians 5:12-14, 16-21 NKJV)
