Unshaken

That no one should be shaken by these afflictions; for you yourselves know that we are appointed to this. (1 Thessalonians 3:3 NKJV)

You can come out on top of every test that comes your way. Our Lord demonstrated in His own 40 day test in the wilderness that you can come out of testing in the power of the Spirit. You can come out stronger than before!

Afflictions means troubles, tribulations or persecutions. If you are making a difference for the Kingdom of God then you have been marked for testing. When Paul says, “we are apointed to these things” he is stating that they are unavoidable because we live in a fallen Christ rejecting world. The Amplified version expounds appointed as “unavoidable”.

The Thessalonian church was a perfect example of this. They had a powerful witness for Christ and were severely persecuted as Acts 17 records but were unshaken. Learn not to be shaken by troubles, tribulations or persecutions but be a person who is unshaken and destined to finish strong!
