My Morning Meditations for Healing

If you have received an evil report and are in need of God’s healing touch then put yourself in a position to receive by filling your heart every day with his promises. Here is a selection of verse I feed on and declare over my life every day that strengthens me for the good fight of faith.

Proverbs 4:20-23 MEV
My son, attend to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. [21] Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; [22] for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their body. [23] Keep your heart with all diligence, for it determines the course of your life. (NLT)

The Psalms declare the goodness of God!

Psalm 103:1-5 MEV
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. [2] Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits, [3] who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, [4] who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies [5] who satisfies your mouth* (*the prime of your life) with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Psalm 23:1-6 MEV The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. [2] He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters. [3] He restores my soul; (renews my strength—NLT) He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. (Being His witness and honoring His name—NLT) [4] Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod (of protection) and Your staff (of guidance), they comfort me. [5] You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; (seated in authority—the kings table) You anoint my head with oil; my cup (the cup of blessing—Ps 16:5) runs over. [6] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Psalm 91:1-2 MEV
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High shall abide under the shadow (defence) of the Almighty. [2] I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.”

Psalm 91:9-11 MEV
Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling, [10] there shall be no evil befall you, neither shall any plague come near your tent; [11] for He shall give His angels charge over you to guard you in all your ways. (Note: Angels connected with plagues in judgment)

Psalm 91:14-16 MEV (translated to 1st person)
Because you have set your love upon Me, therefore I will deliver you; I will set you on high (inaccessible from harm, safe), because you have known My name. [15] You shall call upon Me, and I will answer you; I will be with you in trouble, and I will deliver you and honor you. [16] With long life I will satisfy you and show you My salvation.

Psalm 92:12-14 MEV
The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. [13] Those that are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. [14] They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be filled with vitality and foliage.

Psalm 145:8-9 MEV The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger, and great in mercy. [9] The LORD is good to all, and His compassion is over all His works.

Psalm 107:1-2 KJV O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. [2] Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy!

Psalm 107:18-21 TPT Sick and feeble, unable to stand the sight of food, we drew near to the gates of death. [19] Then we cried out, “Lord, help us! Rescue us!” And he did! [20] God spoke the words “Be healed,” and we were healed, delivered from death’s door! [21] So lift your hands and give thanks to God for his marvelous kindness and for his miracles of mercy for those he loves!

God’s prescription under the Old Covenant

(Love God and experience His blessings of health and prosperity)

Exodus 15:25-26 MEV
Moses cried to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When he had thrown it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there He tested them. [26] He said, “If you diligently listen to the voice of the LORD your God, and do what is right in His sight, and give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will not afflict you with any of the diseases with which I have afflicted the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.”

Deuteronomy 7:7-9,13-15 NLT
[9] Understand, therefore, that the LORD your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands. [13] He will love you and bless you, and he will give you many children. He will give fertility to your land and your animals. When you arrive in the land he swore to give your ancestors, you will have large harvests of grain, new wine, and olive oil, and great herds of cattle, sheep, and goats. [14] You will be blessed above all the nations of the earth. None of your men or women will be childless, and all your livestock will bear young. [15] And the LORD will protect you from all sickness.

Jesus is my healer, my redeemer!

Luke 4:18-19 MEV
Jesus announced, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; [19] to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. — the jubilee, the time of the LORD’s favor has come.”

Acts 10:36-38 MEV
The word which He sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all, [37] the word, which you know, that was proclaimed throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: [38] how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Matthew 8:16-17 NLT
That evening many demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. He cast out the evil spirits with a simple command, and he healed all the sick. [17] This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said, “He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases.” (took—Laid hold of and bare—carried away)

Matthew 9:35 KJVS
Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

Mark 16:17-18 ESV And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; [18] they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.

Healing is part of redemption!

Jeremiah 29:11 MEV For I know the plans that I have for you, says the LORD, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Isaiah 43:1-3 NLT
Do not be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. [2] When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. [3] For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior…

Isaiah 53:1-5 MEV
Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? [2] For he (the Messiah) grew up before Him (God) as a tender plant and as a root out of a dry ground. He has no form or majesty that we should look upon him nor appearance that we should desire him. [3] He was despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows and pain* (mak’ôb) and acquainted with grief and disease* (chŏlîy). And we hid, as it were, our faces from him; he was despised, and we did not esteem him. [4] Surely he has borne our grief and sickness and carried our sorrows and pains; Yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. [5] But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and by his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5 AMPC
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace (shalom) and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.

1 Peter 2:24-25 MEV He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness. “By His wounds you were healed.” [25] For you were as sheep going astray, but now have been returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.

Galatians 3:13-14 KJVS
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: [14] That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit (new birth & spirit baptism) through faith.

Romans 1:16-17 MEV
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. For it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. [17] For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith. As it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

Romans 8:1-2 ESV
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. [2] For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

Romans 8:11 MEV
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit that lives in you.

Faith receives God’s healing promises!

Romans 4:18-21 MEV
Abraham, against all hope, he believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” [19] And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body to be dead (when he was about a hundred years old), nor yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb. [20] He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God, [21] and being fully persuaded that what God had promised, He was able to perform.

Romans 4:17-21 TPT
That’s what the Scripture means when it says: “I have made you the father of many nations.” He is our example and father, for in God’s presence he believed that God can raise the dead and call into being things that don’t even exist yet. [18] Against all odds, when it looked hopeless, Abraham believed the promise and expected God to fulfill it. He took God at his word, and as a result he became the father of many nations. God’s declaration over him came to pass: “Your descendants will be so many that they will be impossible to count!” [19] In spite of being nearly one hundred years old when the promise of having a son was made, his faith was so strong that it could not be undermined by the fact that he and Sarah were incapable of conceiving a child. [20-21] He never stopped believing God’s promise, for he was made strong in his faith to father a child. And because he was mighty in faith and convinced that God had all the power needed to fulfill his promises, Abraham glorified God!

Hebrews 11:11-12 NLT
[11] It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed that God would keep his promise. [12] And so a whole nation came from this one man who was as good as dead-a nation with so many people that, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore, there is no way to count them.

Hebrews 11:13 KJVS
These (Old Testament believers) all died in faith, not having received the promises (of the New Testament), but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded (assured) of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

2 Corinthians 4:13,18 KJVS
We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; [18] While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Romans 10:8-10 MEV
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart.” This is the word of faith that we preach: [9] that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, [10] for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Pray it and say it!

Matthew 17:20 MEV
For truly I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. And nothing will be impossible for you.

Mark 9:23 MEV
Jesus said, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

Mark 11:22-24 KJVS
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. [23] For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. [24] Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

1 John 5:14-15 MEV
This is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. [15] So if we know that He hears whatever we ask, we know that we have whatever we asked of Him.

John 15:7-8 ESV
If you abide in me (ie, new birth), and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. [8] By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.

Ephesians 3:20 MEV
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we ask or imagine, according to the power that works in us!

God is faithful to fulfill His promises!

Philippians 1:6 MEV
I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 1:20-22 NLT
For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory. [21] It is God who enables us, along with you, to stand firm for Christ. He has commissioned us (colaborers with God’s plan of redemption), [22] and he has identified us as his own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first installment that guarantees everything he has promised us.

Hebrews 10:35-36 MEV
Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which will be greatly rewarded. [36] For you need patience, so that after you have done the will of God, you will receive the promise.

Hebrews 11:1,6 MEV
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. [6] And without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Hebrews 12:2 MEV
Let us look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 4:14-16 MEV
Since then we have a great High Priest who has passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to our confession. [15] For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who was in every sense tempted like we are, yet without sin. [16] Let us then come with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

1 Kings 8:56 MEV
“Blessed be the LORD who has given rest to His people Israel according to all that He promised. Not one word of His promises which He gave by the hand of Moses His servant has failed.
