After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”—Revelation 7:9-10 NKJV
Revelation 7 reveals a great harvest just preceding the Lord’s return. The church will have finished the Great Commission and have been taken up to Heaven. God calls and anoints a remnant of Jewish people, 144,000 to be exact, to preach the Gospel during the time of these judgments. The result will be a great harvest. In the midst of judgment God is showing great mercy!
Who is a God like You, Pardoning iniquity And passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy. He will again have compassion on us, And will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins Into the depths of the sea.—Micah 7:18-19 NKJV
God is a merciful and forgiving Father. His Spirit will be poured out in the midst of great testing and drawing in millions of people into the kingdom of God. Remember what Peter said in regards to the coming of The Lord.
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night…—2 Peter 3:9-10 NKJV
God’s heart is for the harvest, His heart is for people. Our heart should be for the harvest too! As we rapidly approach the coming of The Lord we should be bold to share the Gospel with our generation. Let His compassion move in your heart! Pray for and reach out to those who do not know Jesus as Lord and Savior.
