There are two important truths That make an impression upon me as I read the letters that were written to the seven churches of Asia under the Apostle John’s care. You will find a repeated admonition to each of the seven churches that are important for every believer to walk in today. Notice seven times it reads in chapters 2-3 of the book of Revelation…
- He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.
- He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.
- He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.
- He who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
- He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
- He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
- To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches
Did you catch it? I believe two of the most important things every believer must learn is how to be led by the Holy Spirit and how to walk in the believer’s authority. We have both ANOINTING & AUTHORITY!
The anointing which we have received, the Holy Spirit will teach, lead, and show us things to come. Are you listening to His voice? The authority we have in the name of Jesus empowers us to overcome every temptation. Are you exercising your God given authority over anything that does not line up with His will for your life? Following the anointing and exercising your authority everyday will ensure that you finish strong and receive your eternal reward from the Lord.
